BBC News Customised Bus
The BBC demand a high level of service because they have to deliver quality. The vehicle we have produced for the election 2005 tour is an amazing outdoor broadcast unit for TV & radio. The bus will tour key Cities over the UK and report live from the action on board the bus.
The roof and the canopy were designed to allow viewers to see where the bus is throughout the tour, the roof extends so the backdrop can be seen without obstruction. The trailer joins the bus so a staircase to the upper deck makes access for guests very easy, there is also seating built in, so guests and VIP`s can be interviewed in more than one area.
The radio studio on the lower deck has an undercover awning which means the bus can function in any weather.
The wiring in the bus is considerable so special ducting has been incorporated so the technicians can change equipment quickly and easily, and kept out of view.
